I am the third and my son Levi is the fourth generation of Flory family to continue what began in 1925 when my grandfather Edwin Flory purchased the old home place and moved his growing family here. Over the years my parents, Elvin and Pearl, have expanded the farm to include what was to be and still is the hub of this family operation.
Cattle have been a major part of our lives for as long as I can remember whether it be cows and calves or fat cattle. I sold my registered and commercial cow herd in the mid 80s and concentrated on feeding cattle until 1996 when the last fat cattle were loaded on the trucks. I took an off farm full time job and had been waiting for the fat markets to look better. Now I'm back where I belong . My wife Jenny and I have started putting together a small herd of select Angus females and embryos to build upon. With our first calf crop on the ground the future sure is looking bright.
